Naruto, Hot Toys Superman reviews

Mattel has been cranking out the anime related lines lately, and the most recent is Naruto. I picked up the lead character in his standard look at the local TRU, and while I'm not a huge fan, have to admit that he's a pretty decent toy.

The guest review tonight is from Ricky Lee, and covers the spiffy 12" Superman from Hot Toys, based on Superman Returns. Ricky was very happy with his - come see what you think! You can find all the reviews at the usual:

I normally don't quibble over a review, but that Superman Returns headsculpt just doesn't do it for me.

Course, it WOULD make a good Dr. Who (current incarnation).

Doesn't do it for me, either. Ricky was being a lot nicer than I would have been - but then, I pretty much knew from early photos that I didn't want to drop the green on this one.

You've seen the new Dr. Who, haven't you, Mike? He looks more like that actor to me.

he's got almost a girlie look. his skin is too soft and smooth. he needs a 5 o'clock shadow. cant say I like him...her...too much

Yeah, good custom idea, BUT the base $100 pricetag is a tad steep for custom parts donation.. [img]wink.gif[/img]

Maybe one of those cheaper supes toys has a similar look?
